Breakthrough: My Word for 2025

I took last year off from my blog to focus on other ventures, so I never did a word of the year for 2024. However, my word for 2023 was “focus”. After welcoming a baby at the end of 2022, I was focused on settling back into a rhythm and focused on what matters most. That followed me into 2024 and my blog break. I welcomed another little one in the early summer of 2024 and took the year to just be more present with my family and really focus on my screenwriting goals. It paid off in big ways as I finished my first cozy mystery screenplay and made new connections.

As 2025 begins, I am starting rejuvenated and motivated to keep chasing my screenwriting dreams. And that brings me to my word for this year’s “breakthrough”. After years of grinding, learning, writing, and rewriting, I’m manifesting that 2025 will finally be my year to get something greenlit. To break into the entertainment industry and to finally break through and make my mark.

Breakthrough

(noun): Any significant or sudden advance, development, achievement, or increase that removes a barrier to progress.

Breakthrough with dreams.

I want to keep grinding and working hard to get that big breakthrough for my goals and dreams. I want to do what I can that is within my power to make significant progress and move forward with my big-picture dreams and goals with my writing.

Breakthrough in my daily life.

I want to have breakthroughs in the little moments in life. I want to be present with my family and kids and in all the little day-to-day things.

Breakthrough in engery.

I want to get back into good workout routines and hit a breakthrough with my energy levels, which always helps my mood and productivity.

All about breakthrough.

To me, this word is about not only the big breakthroughs, but also the little everyday breakthroughs that others may not notice, but I do. This year, I want to hit breakthroughs in all areas of life. And I want to challenge you to aim for those breakthroughs too.

Breakthrough here. Breakthrough now. Just breakthrough.

Sincerely, Stephanie logo
